First Meeting – Wednesday 23rd March
Tonight we held our first meeting!
Over 25 people came along to find out about Crafty Affairs and a new club was born!
We had many different crafters, with a wde range of crafting interests – from knitting, embroidery, cross-stitch, patchworking and quilting to card craft, stamping and scrapbooking and even pottery and sculpture! It was fantastic to see so many samples of finished and ‘in-progress’ works that everyone enjoyed showing and chatting about, passing along hints and tips as they did so.
All our ‘members’ had a good time getting to know each other and planning what they would like from the club in the future. For Crafty Affairs, learning about such a diverse range of crafting interests will help us to source and provide demonstrators and workshops for those wishing to learn even more skills! It’s going to be an exciting time ahead!
Miranda and Janin are congratulated on their excellent organisation and planning – everyone had a good time – and we anticpate that the club will go from strength to strength.
The next meeting will be on Tuesday 12th April at the Gill Nethercott Centre
